Quite short-term effectiveness, even measured in minutes
I love Jane Iredale’s products in general, but this simply does not last on my not-very-oily skin. It has to be applied quite lightly, unless one is going for a Kabuki theatre look, but without a heavy hand, I’m shiny again by the end of 15 minutes. So what’s the point? Back to Laura Mercier I go — which makes me sad, as in principle, I prefer Jane Iredale. One other thing: the scent of rice is really, really strong here. That wouldn’t have put me off had it worked, but as a reader of reviews, I would have liked to have read about this in advance.

Excellent finishing powder
I don't use much makeup but heavily moisturize and apply sunscreen, bronzer and blush. My face looks super shiny but this powder tones the shine and blurs the imperfections. I used Laura Mercier finishing powder and would say it is very similar to this.

This is one of my all time favorite base

This works very well for me. I prefer clean beauty and Jane Iredale in general is great. The powder has a fine texture and does not offer any coverage or color. This is exactly what I am looking for....to set my foundation.
